There
are more insane people in the Robotics Club than in any other
organization at St. Edward High School. To be honest, one
must truly be insane to attempt what we do. Whether we are
creating three-dimensional models, bolting together machinery, or
programming a camera to locate a ball, we constantly challenge
ourselves to accomplish new and challenging things.
Our club includes over thirty dedicated and hard-working
students. We have been diligently working for weeks since
kickoff, drawing and testing designs, solving physics equations, and
writing functions. Our talented and inspired members
routinely devote much time after school in the hopes of creating a
fantastic machine.
The club, however, would go nowhere without the generous efforts of our
mentors and supervisors. Ms. Scott and Mr. Falk, teachers,
Mr. Bliss and Mr. Szczecinski, engineers, and Mr. Hufford, mechanic,
have each donated immeasurably to our cause. Their ideas,
solutions, and connections have been invaluable contributions our
progress, and we cannot thank them enough.
2008 is looking like a great year for Team 2172; hopefully
the Buckeye Invitational will confirm this!
